Emergency Substation Landslide Stabilization & Foundation Reconstruction
Emergency slope stabilization and foundation repair at a PGE substation following a critical landslide event. The project combined geotechnical soil nail installation, slope re-grading, and new TSP foundation construction to restore substation operability and long-term slope stability.
Full Scope of Work
Slope Stabilization
- Installation of 490 soil nails for slope retention and stabilization
- Slope re-grading and re-profiling to reduce future slide risk
- Drainage improvements integrated into slope repair design
Foundation & Structural Work
- Construction of new TSP foundation to replace slide-damaged structure
- 450 CY of concrete poured for foundations and slope facing
- Structural coordination with PGE substation design engineers
Specialized Equipment
- All machine work performed using spider (remote-operated) excavators for access on steep slope
